Bio
Ethan Libby joined the Wittenberg University tennis coaching staff as an assistant in 2025, just months after he graduated from Wittenberg.
Libby has coached tennis players of all skill levels for the past nine years, including the 2024-25 season when he served as a volunteer student coach for Wittenberg Women’s Tennis.
From 2021-2025, Libby played for Wittenberg's men’s tennis team. During his career, he played every position, including matches at first singles and first doubles during his junior and senior seasons. Libby accumulated more than 40 wins as a Tiger, and he earned All-North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC), Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar-Athlete, College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District, and NCAC Player of the Week awards during his career.
"I am really excited to add Ethan to the staff for this season," said Wittenberg Tennis Head Coach John DeVito. "He embodies the Wittenberg values at his core and can add a lot of different insights into the development of the program."
After graduating from Wittenberg with a B.S. in chemistry and psychology, Libby is enrolled as a doctoral student in psychology at Wright State University. Libby is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, and he currently resides in his hometown.
