Wittenberg Announces Members Of Volleyball Class of 2017
Head Coach Paco Labrador will welcome 10 new student-athletes to the program in August 2013.
Springfield, Ohio — Wittenberg University Volleyball Head Coach Paco Labrador has announced that 10 student-athletes will be joining the Tiger program in August 2013.
The new recruits join a team that compiled records of 27-5 record, including a perfect 8-0 mark in conference play. Wittenberg won both the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) regular season and tournament titles for the 17th time in the past 18 years, and the Tigers advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament Round of 16.
Labrador is entering his 11th year at the helm of the Wittenberg program with a sparkling 323-46 overall record, including marks of 122-2 in NCAC regular season matches and 28-9 in NCAA Division III Tournament play. He earned NCAA Division III Coach of the Year honors in 2011 to go along with Great Lakes Region Coach of the Year awards in 2004 and 2007 and NCAC Coach of the Year honors in 2006, 2007, 2010 and 2011.
