Witt Women’s Volleyball Captures 3-1 Victory
CINCINNATI, OH. – Kaili Worcester (Powell, OH / Olentangy Liberty) continued her hot hitting once again, tallying a double-double and helping Wittenberg's women's volleyball team to its third win of the season.
The Tigers were once again on the road, this time taking on Mount St. Joseph University at the Harrington Center on Tuesday, Sept. 9. After dropping the first set in a close battle, 26-24, Witt came back strong taking the next three in scores of 25-14, 25-17, and 25-20 to capture the 3-1 victory.
For the match, Wittenberg had a hitting percentage of .223 to just .038 for the Lions, who had 31 attack errors.
Kaili Worcester (Powell, OH / Olentangy Liberty) led the team in kills with 12 on 30 attacks and added 12 digs for 15 points. Mary Sulfridge (South Charleston, OH / Southeastern) also turned in another double-double in assists and digs with 40 assists and 15 digs.
Wittenberg improves to 3-4 on the season with the win. Mount St. Joseph, picked to finish second in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC), falls to 4-4, having beaten three North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) teams so far this season in John Carroll, Kenyon, and Wooster.
The Tigers lead the series against the Lions, 25-14. Last year, Witt won 3-2 at home.

- Ally White (Harrison, OH / Harrison) had a team-high 17 digs.
- Sam Fincham (Springfield, OH / Kenton Ridge) tallied 11 kills on 21 total attacks for a .429 hitting percentage. She also added five block assists and 14.5 points.
- Piper Ricketts (Morrow, OH / Little Miami) had a good night with eight kills, two service aces, 16 digs, and 10 points.
- Olivia Follick (Vandalia, OH / Butler) turned in nine kills, eight block assists, and 14 points.

- Wittenberg registered 50 kills on 139 total attacks for a .223 hitting percentage. The Tigers also turned in 47 assists, five service aces, 79 digs, and 14.0 total blocks.
- Mount St. Joseph landed 37 kills on 159 total attacks for a hitting percentage of .038. The Lions also had 37 assists, eight service aces, 58 digs, and 6.0 blocks.
