Women’s Volleyball Takes Down Baldwin Wallace, 3-0
SPRINGFIELD, OH – Still riding high after pulling the upset Friday night over No. 1 Juniata, national champs the past three years, Wittenberg's women's volleyball team captured its fourth-straight win, this time defeating Baldwin Wallace in the Fall Classic on Saturday, Sept. 13, at Pam Evans Smith Arena, part of the Health, Wellness & Athletics Complex.
The Tigers put a sting in the Yellow Jackets, winning in three straight sets in scores of 25-17, 25-17, and 25-18 behind key blocking and hitting. Witt turned in a hitting percentage of .286 to just .083 for Baldwin Wallace.
Several Tigers contributed to the big win in the stats, including Kaili Worcester (Powell, OH / Olentangy Liberty) with 11 kills, Alana Bartulovic (Cleveland, OH / Notre Dame Cathedral Latin) with nine, and Clare O'Malley(Avon, OH / St. Joseph's Academy) adding seven. Bartulovic led the team in points with 12.5; she also had a team-high three solo blocks. Worcester tallied 11 points while O'Malley got nine.
Defensively, Ally White (Harrison, OH / Harrison) again anchored the back row with a team-high 15 digs.
The Tigers have been on a roll of late, putting together some excellent team volleyball consisting of a full-on attack against some impressive teams. With the win, Wittenberg improves to 5-4 on the season, while Baldwin Wallace drops to 4-6 overall.

- Ally White (Harrison, OH / Harrison) had a team-high 15 digs and a team-high three service aces.
- Ava Golem (Kirtland, OH / Kirtland) added nine digs.
- Mary Sulfridge (South Charleston, OH / Southeastern) led the team in assists with 23.
Team Comparison
- Wittenberg registered 41 kills on 112 total attacks for a .286 hitting percentage. The Tigers also turned in 31 assists, seven service aces, 49 digs, and 7.0 total blocks.
- Baldwin Wallace landed 27 kills on 108 total attacks for a hitting percentage of .083 with 18 attack errors. The Yellow Jackets also had 24 assists, five service aces, 43 digs, and 4.0 blocks.
