Women's Volleyball Selected Fourth in NCAC Preseason Coaches' Poll
Cleveland, OH - Wittenberg Women’s Volleyball was picked to finish fourth in the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) in the 2025 Preseason Coaches’ Poll, which was released on Wednesday.
The Tigers received one of the eight first-place votes and 47 points in the poll. Reigning regular-season conference champions Denison was picked as the favorite with six first-place votes and 59 points. Ohio Wesleyan was second with one first-place vote 51 points. In third, just above Wittenberg, was conference newcomer John Carroll with 48 points. To round out the top five, DePauw finished with 35 total points.
The Tigers ended with a 17-10 record overall and placed second in the NCAC with a 5-2 mark in 2024. Wittenberg reached the conference semifinals with a win over Hiram before falling to Denison to reach the championship game.
Led by eighth-year head coach Evelyn Miller, the Tigers open their 2025 season at the Transy Invitational at Transylvania University against Berry on Aug. 29. The home opener will be against Juniata on Sept. 12 as part of the Wittenberg Fall Classic. The Tigers will then open conference play at Denison on Sept. 27.
