Four Tigers Named 2025 CSC Academic All-District

SPRINGFIELD, OH - Four Wittenberg women’s volleyball players were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) NCAA Division III Volleyball Academic All-District Team for the 2025 season, the organization announced on Tuesday.
The CSC Academic All-District Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. To earn CSC Academic All-District distinction, student-athletes must be a sophomore or above in class standing with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.50 while meeting athletic participation requirements.
In volleyball, student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's matches played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's matches. Selected Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot (noted by asterisk on release from CSC). First-, Second-, and Third-Team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on January 13. The four Wittenberg players selected are senior Ally White (Harrison, OH/ Harrison), senior Piper Ricketts (Morrow, OH / Little Miami), and sophomores Mary Sulfridge (South Charleston, OH /Southeastern), and Clare O'Malley (Avon, OH/ St. Joseph’s Acacdemy).
White, a libero, is a double major in Marketing and Communications & Digital Media and a member of the honors program with a GPA of 3.89. She played in all 29 matches for the Tigers this year, recording 511 digs and 39 service aces. White was named third-team All-NCAC, and for the third year in a row has earned Academic All-District recognition.
Ricketts, an outside hitter/defensive specialist, is also double majoring in Marketing and Communications & Digital Media with a GPA of 3.54. Ricketts started all 29 matches, recording 277 digs, 42 service aces, and 75 kills. It is the third year in a row that Ricketts has earned Academic All-District recognition.
Sulfridge, a setter, is majoring in Marketing with a 3.88 GPA. She started all 29 matches, recording 994 assists, 25 service aces, and 66 kills. Sulfridge was named the NCAC Player of the Year, and Setter of the Year, first-team All-Region, and honorable mention All-America.
O’Malley, a middle blocker, is double majoring in Marketing and Data Science and is a member of the Honors Program with a 3.54 GPA. O'Malley started all 29 matches, recording 227 kills and 97 total blocks. O’Malley was named second-team All-NCAC and honorable mention All-Region.
Wittenberg Women’s Volleyball finished first in the NCAC with a 7-0 record in 2025 while going 21-8 overall with a trip to the second round of the NCAA Division III Tournament.
