Tiger Teams Run Well At Earlham Invitational
Wittenberg's men's and women's cross country teams received strong performances from several runners on Saturday, finishing seventh and ninth respectively in the Earlham Invitational.

RICHMOND, Ind. - Wittenberg's men's and women's cross country teams received strong performances from several runners on Saturday, finishing seventh and ninth respectively in the Earlham Invitational.
Freshman Andrew Carter (Springboro, Ohio/Springboro)gave his best performance of the season, finishing 21st in points places, and second of Wittenberg men. The only higher placing Tiger was senior Mike Echols (Springfield, Ohio/North), who battled his way to 13th place overall and 11th in points standings for his season best finish.
Senior Megan Poling (Medina, Ohio/Highland) placed 32nd in both overall and points rankings to lead the Tiger women, followed by consistently strong Alissa Goble (Sunfield, Mich./Lakewood), who finished at 47th overall.
Finishing close behind Goble was freshman Margaret Nevin (Darien, Conn./Darien), at 50th overall in a tough 114-competitor field.
The Tigers have two regular season races left before the NCAC Championships at Kenyon on Saturday, October 27th.
