Cross County Teams Turn in Good Times at Cedarville
Cedarville, OH. - Wittenberg's men's and women's cross country teams headed to Cedarville University for the All-Ohio Inter-Collegiate Challenge. Facing competition from across all divisions, the Tiger women finished 3rd place among Division III teams. The Tiger men did not register a team finish with only four runners competing.
Wittenberg's women scored 113 points to finish in third behind John Carroll and Ohio Wesleyan in the 6k. The top finisher for the Tigers was Maddi Clark (Mentor, OH / Mentor) in second overall, with a time of 22:36.0 and next was Emma Hawk (Marion, OH / River Valley) in 14th with a time of 23:33.6. Alex Couch (Howard, OH / Mount Vernon) was 17th in a time of 23:40.3 and Mackenzie Kelley (Altoona, PA / Altoona Area) was in 40th, finishing in 24:47.9. The Tiger to wrap up the scoring runners was Svetlana Daniels (London, OH / Madison Plains), who took 70th in time of 25:59.6.
The top finisher for the men's team was Lucas Eisele (Dayton, OH / West Carrollton), who took fourth overall with an 8k time of 25:17.2. Adam Veotte (Cincinnati, OH / Sycamore) finished with a time of 28:35.8. Freshman Jay Patel (Springfield, OH / Kenton Ridge) finished with a time of 30:08.9. Taylor Insyxiengmay (Cincinnati, OH / Little Miami) finished with a time of 32:59.4 to round out the finishers for the Tigers.
