A solid 2008 spring sports season has reaped individual rewards for 28 Wittenberg University athletes who were selected to All-North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) teams over the last two weeks.
GRANVILLE, Ohio - The Wittenberg Tigers put together three solid rounds of golf to put the finishing touches on the 2007-08 season with a third-place finish in the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) championship tournament, hosted by Denison University.
WOOSTER, Ohio - Filed under the heading "Too Little, Too Late" is the Wittenberg Tigers' sixth-place finish in the Nye Intercollegiate, hosted by the College of Wooster.

DELAWARE, Ohio - The Wittenberg Tigers got off to another slow start in the one-day, 36-hole Ohio Wesleyan Fall Invitational and wound up in a tie for seventh place with Ohio Northern. It was the third straight tournament in which the Tigers shot a better second round than first but still finished in the middle of the pack.
GAMBIER, Ohio - The Wittenberg Tigers turned in a mixed performance at the Kenyon College Invitational, one of two fall tournaments that count toward the final 2007-08 North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) standings. Wittenberg finished fifth among the eight NCAC teams entered in the 36-hole competition.
LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Wittenberg Tigers kicked off a new era by taking seventh place in a strong 13-team field at the Transylvania Fall Invitational.
For the first time ever, Wittenberg University will have one coach for both the men's and women's golf programs. Director of Athletics and Recreation Garnett Purnell announced that Jeff Roope, previously an assistant at nearby Otterbein College, has been selected for the position.
