Tigers Fall in Second Game of Road Trip
Pittsburgh, PA - After winning their first game of a road trip to Pennsylvania, the Wittenberg Tigers fell to host Chatham to close out two games in 24 hours. Despite most of the game being closely contested, Chatham overtook the Tigers with a massive second quarter and didn't look back. As the clock hit triple zeros, the Cougars were on the winning end of the scoreboard, 57-38.
With the loss, the Tigers moved to 2-2 on the season, while the Cougars improved to 4-1.
In quarter number one, the Tigers outscored the Cougars, 16-15, as Madi Barnett (Cincinnati, OH / Kings) dropped six points as part of the team's hot start. The script flipped in the second, as the Chatham offense went wild, scoring 25 points, while the Tigers only put up eight. Coming out of the half, the Tigers put up another eight, while holding the Cougars to only nine in the quarter. In the third, Molly Mossing (Cedarville, OH / Cedarville) scored half of the Wittenberg points, with four. The Tigers struggled in the fourth, scoring only six points, but the defense played well, holding Chatham under 10 again with eight.

- Mossing and Catherine Buddenberg (Elsmere, KY / Dixie Heights) each scored seven points to lead Wittenberg in points.
- Cadence Boyd (Cincinnati, OH / Monroe) paced the team in assists, dishing out four, and Karley Moore (Tipp City, OH / Bethel) added three.
- Nyla Richardson (Cincinnati, OH / Oak Hills) pulled down the most rebounds with six, while Maddie Griga (Cincinnati, OH / Mount Notre Dame) and Myah Johnson (Jeffersonville, IN / Jeffersonville) each had five.
- Moore led the team with two steals and had the lone block for the Tigers as well.
